Report on Training of Cassava Farmers on Improved Method of Cassava Production, At Least Cost.  In Collaboration With Cassava Adding Value For Africa Phase II Held On 21st March, 2019 At Igbein Palace, Agbowa, Lagos State.

The training exposed small holder cassava farmers to competitive production, understanding profitability and sustainable farming programme.

The training Goals included;

  • To ensured that farmers minimize cost in producing cassava roots
  • To boost the income of Small Holder Farmers
  • To Disseminate cassava innovations
  • To create sustainable livelihood opportunities

The training was well appreciated by farmers as it came at the right time before another planting season.


The CAVA collaborative training showed how farmers can maximize profit in cassava production from stem sales. The training was impactful and participants expressed satisfaction about the new knowledge acquired.
